| Mysteries
A path in the Mysteries, by its very nature, is not meant to
be defined. Though we may use a framework or armature to support
our underlying purpose, often there is a multi-layered experience
that loses some of its power when we dissect it and enumerate
it.
Community
Because it is more of a process than a product, some of the
activities and focus will be determined by the "community"
that supports this passage initiation. Whether the individuals
and family members call themselves the Council of the Elders,
or the Passage Keepers, or Crescent Moon Council
(or any name that the girls and supporting community choose
for themselves), this group needs to determine a core set of
values and purpose to inform this journey.
Facilitators
& Passage Leaders
can then use ceremony, ritual and activities to hold and express
this intent. We use mythic archetypes, symbols and metaphors
to explore themes and for reflection. We look to multi-cultural
practices for inspiration. For example, in some Native traditions,
an animal is chosen (or chooses) to emphasize certain qualities
already apparent or perhaps that one desires to incorporate
more. So an activity including working with animal archetypes
might be part of exploring identity.
Girls
Want To Have Fun!
Each girl has a personal as well as a universal Mystery to unravel
and weave together in a way that depicts her own unique story
as part of the tapestry shared by girls throughout time... It
is sacred and beautiful AND we also make time to be in the moment
to play and have fun.
